Keepsake FILM

Terms for making and keeping a film.

Last updated September 21, 2026. These terms apply when you create an account, invite a storyteller, participate in an interview, purchase a film, or open a private sharing link.

The service

Keepsake Film provides a short AI-generated visual film made from a photograph and guided by a required interview with June. The conversation is transcribed to guide film generation; the finished deliverable is the video, not a written narrative, transcript, or interview recording. June is an AI interviewer, not a human, therapist, historian, emergency service, or fact-checker. The film may include generated environmental sound. It does not reproduce or clone the interviewee’s voice. The film is not historical footage and may contain visual errors.

Your responsibilities

You must be an adult able to agree to these terms. You must have permission to upload, process, and animate the photograph, interview, and personal information you provide, and you must obtain appropriate consent from living storytellers and other identifiable people. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, or rights-infringing material, or use the service to impersonate, harass, defame, or mislead someone.

Consent to interview and generation

Before a call begins, the page explains the interview processing and whether the call will be recorded and retained. Selecting Start interview asks us to begin that disclosed processing. Do not start a call for another person or pressure them to participate without their informed agreement.

Tavus connects the interview, xAI Grok describes the photograph for June, and xAI Grok uses the photograph and transcript to suggest a memory title and a motion description. xAI Grok renders the film from the photograph and motion description. The result is an AI-generated visual interpretation, not historical footage. A participant can stop before beginning. Account deletion and privacy requests are handled under the Privacy notice.

If you contribute through an invitation, the photograph, interview, and film are saved in the inviter’s account. The owner may add, replace, or delete the photograph before the interview starts. The photograph cannot be changed after the interview starts.

Ownership and processing permission

You keep your rights in the photograph and interview materials, including the recording and transcript. You give the operator and its production providers the limited permission needed to store, transmit, animate, and process that material to operate, secure, support, and deliver the service. You may download or share the resulting film for lawful personal use.

Payment

Each film is a separate one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price and included work are shown before Stripe Checkout. If checkout is marked unavailable, the displayed amount is a planned price and no purchase is being offered. Contact support@keepsakefilm.com about duplicate charges, a failed deliverable, cancellation, or refund rights available under applicable law.

For a new paid film, card confirmation places a temporary authorization hold before the interview. We capture payment only after the film is saved and the email service has accepted the email containing your film link. Email acceptance does not guarantee inbox delivery. If the hold expires or payment needs another confirmation, we may ask you to confirm your card again for the saved film. A generation failure releases an unpaid hold; your card issuer determines when that release appears on your statement.

If we cannot deliver your film

If we cannot deliver a usable film, we will refund your film purchase. Contact support from the film or payment details page so we can review the delivery failure and arrange the refund. Refunds are reviewed and issued by the operator; they are not automatic.

A usable film plays and downloads in full, matches the duration offered at purchase, and has no major visual defects that obscure the main subject. Contact us if your film falls short so we can review it and arrange a replacement or refund.

Your purchase includes the film and any additional versions shown at checkout. Confirmed technical failures do not use that allowance. An unresolved request pauses new versions until we can confirm its outcome; you do not need to buy another attempt to resolve it. A failed request for another version does not automatically refund a film already delivered. This delivery promise does not limit any rights available under applicable law.

Previously published films

YouTube publishing is not currently available in Keepsake Film. If you previously published a film to YouTube, that copy remains separate: changing or deleting the Keepsake Film account does not change or remove it. Manage any existing copy through the receiving YouTube channel.

Availability and generated results

The service may be unavailable during prelaunch work, maintenance, provider outages, or safety review. A film can fail or take longer than expected, and no uninterrupted availability or delivery time is promised. Provider safety systems and the source photograph can prevent or change a result.

We do not promise that generated movement will be historically accurate, reproduce a person exactly, or match an imagined outcome. Generated details may be wrong. Keepsake Film does not ask the system to invent a narrative or clone a person’s voice.

Private links and account security

Keep account credentials, interview invitations, and viewing links private. The first signed-in person to claim a film-sharing link receives its access until the owner revokes it. Tell support promptly if a link or account may be compromised.

Ending use

You may delete your account from Account settings. The operator may suspend access needed to protect people, the service, or provider accounts, and must still follow the privacy notice for retained and deleted data.

Governing terms and contact

These terms are governed by the applicable law of Florida, United States, subject to consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
